Italy been great but the love in for Chiellini and Bonucci been a bit much. Kane (through a bit of diving) will cause them issues and Sterling and Saka will destroy them. They’re still great if balls in the box and what not, but England’s fundamental way of scoring is passings from wide in behind and cut backs into the box.

doesn’t suit at their age what their best at defending st

my main fear is more Veratti and co destroy Phillips and Rice, which is why Henderson is needed to play more forward passes and Foden to play who better at joining up with the midfield to play some passing moves.

It's written for England to win this. It's not great or sexy but they low key been playing well and been creating more than their opponents every time. The Scotland match was mostly a blip but otherwise, I havent seen them too shaky.

Southgate kind of doing a Deschamps with this squad. The ceiling is high but he's comfy with having a a high enough floor for that team to succeed. Can't hate much on that strategy. England did get lucky with the group, the easier half and the all home games but they still had to win the games anyway. If they win it all, I hope Sterling get MOTT though I feel like Kane might get it instead.

I will be rooting for Italy in the final though.

A lot of people don't understand the significance of Sterling playing in a major tournament final at Wembley - he grew up in one the worst estates in NW London, St Raphs - which is literally right next to the stadium. Couldn't write this.

aint chunkz from there to?

Chiesa is going to be a problem for England as well.
