Holland was in that same bracket

I get it, it’s just that England seem to get favourable ties/brackets in their last couple major tournaments.

WC’18 they played Colombia without James and then Sweden. Once they got to Croatia they folded like a cheap suit. Lost the 3rd place match against a B-side Belgium.

Same thing here. In the Semis but played a weak Germany and Ukraine. I’m just curious how they would have faired if they were on the other bracket with Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.

Obviously it’s tournament football and you have to beat who’s in front of you

On to the Copa :blessed:

Not sure the argument of easy bracket is very strong considering Netherlands got knocked out by Czechs (who England beat in group stage) and France by Switzerland

england have kept clean sheet in every match and if being honest looked comfortable in every match. Considering Spain and others had scares and looked vulnerable, England and Italy have looked the most comfortable.

Again I put Italy favourites but the bracket stuff doesn’t mean much to me.

Italy had fairly easy run pre semi final in 2006 World Cup . Doesn’t mean they didn’t deserve it. Portugal pre final had easy run in 2016 euros
