Who knew Austria vs MKD would produce the most enjoyable game so far

A really drab affair that. Both teams were pedestrian, England showed a nice opening 10 minutes however which Croatia never matched with a good spell of their own.

I don't know why I'm surprised, European teams pretty much always play boring football at the World Cup and I've always much preferred watching African, Asian, and South American teams at that tournament for their more enterprising attitudes. Imagine a tournament full of European teams, that's what you'll get of course

Copa América starts at 7am this morning, I'll be following that tournament with interest in the expectation that it will be much more entertaining

Euros were great before they moved to 24 teams. Plus this goofy format of not having one true host nation is lame. Some of these games almost feel like qualifiers.
