I agree with you for the most part. However, Portugal's defence is leaky as fukk. 4 goals scored against them with 2 of them being own goals from a German team that has some problems (boy, is Germany rough around the edges).
1 own goal is a mistake. 2 own goals is a major cause for concern.
But if you look at the 2 OGs, even if the defender didn’t get it, a German player was in place to tap it in.
Havertz could have easily gotten the first goal (I think it was first credited to him due to how close he was to the ball) and the 2nd OG Gnarby was behind for the tap in if Raphael missed it. Those OGs showed the German threat going forward.
Portugal without Cancelo is a big big miss. If not, I think that game might have been a bit more evenly balanced.
