Any good Monday morning QB would say there's no point in putting him in prison, but I'm just curious how we'd feel if this was a different type of crime that we couldn't really justify. Let's say this dude was convicted of a sex crime against a child and allegedly turned his life around, even becoming a positive member of society. I'd still say fukk him, let him rot.
Something like this story, on a much smaller scale, just happened to me. I got a parking ticket in a different state a couple years ago. Scheduled a court date to fight it, but moved out of state by the time the date rolled around and canceled the date, but that never processed through the bureaucracy, so they charged me court costs for the hearing (guilty by not being there), on top of my $50 fine. I paid the $50 and told them to fukk themselves on the extra money. This was 2012. The car was in my dad's name. He just got a letter today saying that there was a warrant for his arrest.
