At the end of the day, that's his son; regardless of whether D-Wade truly accepts his son's sexuality is one thing, I don't think he's down with the fakket shyt as some of you like to make it seem but rather acknowledging himself being a father, and decided to do what he's supposed to do, which is stand by his son and show love and support.

Even if Wade was hard on his son and tried to force him to be straight, there's still a likelihood that his son would be gay anyway as he gets older (18+) and can make decisions on his own because that's just what he's destined to be. The only difference is that with the lack of support, he'd grow up resenting his father or, worse, committing suicide (among other things) due to lack of support, it's happened before among many families. If D-Wade didn't accept his son for who he is, there are a lot of ways this shyt could've gone south in their household.

Some of you guys like to pose and act as if you're soo hardcore that you'd throw your child in the garbage can if they don't abide by you, which low-key is kinda abusive. Attitudes like that get your child taken from you or have a social worker up in your house every week.

What son? 18 is cut off if you not culturally kin to the family period. Don't care the issue. Our culture is our culture.
