Are we witnessing the NBA Playoffs or NBA Rico Hines scrimmages?

They are in a neutral environment that favours everyone.. if certain people are doing big things in this space. Then If it was purely the environment everyone would be doing the same thing with historical numbers.

At first the narrative was going to be they aren't really competing. But we already seen that they are.

The reports came that because of the visual setting shooting is more accurate. So yes their shooting numbers are improved. But this should be across the board for everyone. Personally I'll take their numbers with an asterisk but I won't descredit it.

This counts more than a normal playoffs because of the lack of travel and lack of in-arena distractions. We are watching peak performance in the bubble.

I'll have to agree even though I was one of the dudes saying NBA shouldnt return
I am disinterested in the games, but you are right... you cant get caught slipping out here now. People are playing to play, not to worry about shyt.
From the start it reminded me off the 50s 60s basketball in ballrooms and shyt

all i know is that if this shyt is true then the only difference between the greats and the good/decent/scrubs is the ability to perform in front of a live crowd or after traveling.

otherwise you'd be seeing guys like harden/bron/giannis/ad/kawhi making some huge leap too.

People are trying to spin shyt to fit their agenda. This past week with Murray/Mitchell going off it was "oh the stats are inflated in the bubble there is no pressure.." but then game 7 is 80-78 and showed that yes there was pressure..

Then you got the end of game 7 Rockets/Thunder and nobody on either side knew what they wanted to do. Everyone looked either scared or shrinking in the moment. Harden shot like shyt etc..

But then you got the Bucks dropping two games and people saying well they needed a "real" homecourt against Miami..

So everyone is positioning to either make excuses for their team/player or to attach more importance.. it's funny to watch.

The best teams are winning these series no matter what.

The same team that made the Finals last season was swept in the first round this season.

I wonder if folks will finally come around to the Bubble not being quite what they thought it was.

Thing is most people only see it one way but it’s not .

Yes the bubble helped players who typically would not put up the same numbers due to other non basketball factors . However everyone played on an equal playing field so the excuse of why a specific team didn’t win is garbage .

When it came down to strictly hooping the best team won .

Looking back the only results that I think would be different with fans is the Bucks Heat series would have been longer than it was with Miami still winning. I actually think the Clippers MAY have been able to hold their lead against the Nuggets if they were playing game 7 at home, but that’s still a big maybe

Jimmy had a bad playoffs. But let’s not act like he wasn’t solid prior years not counting the bubble. And tbh he was only great in the finals during the bubble.
