we've reached a point where we're arguing over cell phone operating systems that are marginally different and have most of the same software developed by the same developers. arguing over video game consoles that have 90% the same library and maybe get 10 or so exclusive titles a year out of hundreds of releases.

i'm all for having preferences but if you can't play Uncharted because its on the Playstation and you're an Xbox brand warrior that doesn't make Uncharted a bad game it just means you missed out on a good game to remain loyal to something that has no reward for your loyalty.
there's a difference between having a preference and illogically convincing yourself a non-preferred brand is bad because it doesn't align with your preference. especially to the point where you miss out on things you'd like because of that.
