I said self respecting :rudy:

If I'm gonna do something that makes me lose my dignity and self respect then it might as well be illegal :mjpls:

bagging groceries at almost 30 ain't the life breh

:sadbron:

Dignity goes out the window when it comes to providing for your kids.

Working as a roughneck in the oil fields, or on a platform. They make serious money and if you have money, you'll get the respect.

no college ed required.

Military...maybe even at least Guard/Reserve if you don't want full time and you want to ensure you stay local. If for nothing else, for that GI Bill and other benefits. Basically you can go to school for free. I STRONGLY recommend it for people with a stagnant life. It ain't that bad.

I started as a customer service rep for blue cross of ca while I was in school. Busted my ass, learned every system I could, eventually I knew so much that I applied to be a training specialist when the position got open (basically teaching new hires how to work our system). In other words I was conducting classes, teaching new implementations to existing workers etc. after a year, they started sending me to different offices in cali (then I got my degree but never used it), I was highly recommended but third party offices that just wanted me because I was good, people just liked my teaching style and my knowledge that eventually I started working in different states (my boss got confidence in me), then outside of the country teaching our outsource offices in the philippines and argentina. I had a corporate card and everything, living out of 5 star hotels. on my rounds (after work in hotel bars) I would meet other people abroad and learned that international business and online jobs were the way to go. long story short, my company laid me off and I started teaching abroad and doing intl business.

I work as a graphic designer part time for a U.S company but thats just little projects here and there.

However, you stated you have a son so I'm not sure if you want to live that lifestyle, ya know. but its proof you don't need a degree.

My thing was, when I got my entry level job. I did a lot of networking, brown nosing, and extra work/projects. Most nikkas were like "fukk no Im not getting paid extra for that" whereas in my head I was like "give me the work knowledge is power" so when it came to getting a job that paid damn near double....they couldn't deny me because I just knew so much, and then once I got the training position, I just busted my ass and had more charisma than the older teachers. So people started requesting me and my boss was like :ehh: then from there networked while I was abroad...the key is......NETWORK!

Easy, skilled trades. Both physically and mentally challenging. Finishing a quality product is rewarding. If you work hard at learning stuff and have a little luck you should be able to move up pretty quickly. If you don't move up just learn shyt, buy your own tools and start your own business. Right now I work in tile installation for my 26 year old friend who owns his own company. He's not on the VIP list at clubs but he doesn't have a boss. That's pretty dope.

with just a high school diploma, I say the threadstarter get a job in a call center. that'll give him benefits, a decent pay, and a lot of hoes in the office to potentially get on.
