I'm 34 with 48 credits from when I went to school in the military. I decided to go back to school. At my current job I was passed over for a position because I didn't have a degree even though I'm filling in the spot until the find someone. Times have changed. Its all about being prepared when an opportunity presents itself. If I had my degree I could've been making an extra 19k a year right now :sadcam:

a degree in what exactly?

say if a nikka had a 4 year degree in philosophy, marketing or sum shyt that had nothing to do with your current line of work. They would pass u up on the job position because of that shyt just cause they got a degree?

you can try and become a personal trainer if you are into sports, if your clients believe you are good then you can charge like 50 bucks an hour plus you dont need any certificate...not over here at least

Breh, you're not gonna have google during the interview :skip:

Worry about being able to get the job first before you start trying to figure out how to scheme. Sounds like you looking for a hustle.

Matter fact, just start selling dope, that seems like its more up your alley :heh:

:why:

Accounting. Once I get my bachelors i'm going to get my CPA and eventually start my own practice (fukk working for other nikkas in my 40's). It was a an assistant manager position. I'm was the only one that understood the accounting duties and could take over when the old one left. Because I didn't have a 4 year degree, even though I'm in school and basically do the job now, I didn't get considered. The funny thing is though, if I had my degree, I wouldn't have tried to work here in the first place.

It depends on what you want to do, but having a degree in anything can't hurt. And some companies are funny like that. They don't care what kind of degree you have as long as you have one.

when I was 28 I said the same thing. But back then, I thought making 15 dollars an hour was a lot of money, then I was like if Only I was making 40k and so on and so forth. At some point you're gonna want to elevate to a higher level and you wont be able to. Sacrifice is key. I'm sacrificing a lot financially to go to school but I know shyt will pay off in the end if I finish.

nikka clearly said without a degree and the first thing out your mouth is "once i get my bachelors..."

i feel like if you're resourceful you can work your way up to a semi respectable position in any field...you just gotta start at the bottom. on top of that u been cuttin heads for awhile so you really dont have any marketable skills in any other industry.

i guess if i were u i would try to cut heads strictly at my crib as long as u got the clientele or as long as u can self advertise.

c/s No offense but OP sounds like he wants to skip the hard work and reap the benefits right away. If he don't wanna get his bachelors he can get an Associates in something and make decent money. 2 years of school isn't going to kill you

I think my point is.. at one point I asked the same question. At one point I bought a cargo van and became a 1099 independent contractor for several transportation companies. But at some point, I knew I wanted more. I was having to work damn near non stop just to earn a 1k a week. that aint living.

Some people think it's too late to go to school so they look for careers where you don't need a degree. All i'm saying is. 1. its never too late and 2. why limit yourself. Now for me, I want to eventually lead a lifestyle I won't get with my current credentials so at the end of the day, its all about how you wanna live long term.
