They make up the cost though by charging more

The movies themselves aren't even the bread and...butter-pun intended...for these cinemas. The real money's in the concessions. That's why it's like 8 dollars for a damn hot dog, that's why almost all of them sell alcohol now (which practically sells itself regardless of business), and if you think about it, that's why we have the "dine-in" concept now. The plush recliners, sometimes paired in twos. The fact that some theaters sell "real" entrees and dishes, not just stale popcorn. They're trying to make it a real "dinner and a movie" experience all in one.

Go search some "coolest theaters in the world" they got cinemas overseas with full fukkin couches and beds.

You don't charge more for standard showings. 3D isn't mandatory. At AMC for example depending on the time of day I can see a movie for $5.xx
reclining seats cost more where im at

There's nothing I love more than arriving to the theatre and seeing some scrub sitting in my assigned dbox seat and then I roll up like :mjlol: tell him to go back to his peasant seats down below

depends on the film really. But I like them. Sometimes I've seen movies where it's just so much talking that it seemed like a waste of money, other time it really adds to a film, makes it that much more immersive. You can adjust the strength of the seats if it's too much yourself in any case.

I'd suggest something really action heavy for your first time.

I seen "Infinity War" in IMAX, which had assigned seating. shyt was :ld: for me because a guy was sitting in my seat when I got there....told him to move....he moved, but still. And there was other people that was in the wrong seats, too. What's the point of assigned seating if the average person is too dumb to know where to sit?

Fred.

So you are lukewarm on it because some fetal alcohol babies can't read? :usure:

Assigned seating is literally the best thing to ever happen to movie theaters

It's funny cause I hardly go to the movies, but went to take my daughter to black panther. Showed up 20 minutes early and every show was sold out for the next 4-5 hours. This was two weeks after it dropped and it was showing on a new screen every 30 minutes. Went to another theater and bought tickets online before we got there. Get there 30 minutes early and ended up front row cause all the rows was filled. Since then been back a few times and only go to where they have the assigned seating. It's a must for me now cause I ain't trying to show up an hour early just to get a decent seat to the big movies.

Yes what kind of logic is this ?
Why waste money if I don’t have too :why:

So let me get this...purchasing a movie ticket from the comfort of your home AND choosing the seat of your choice instead of going to said theater ahead of time is a waste of money although the added convenience speaks for itself?

Just say you a broke nikka....

Getting charged a convience fee is stupid
That’s like getting charged to pay your bill online

People like you that’s okay with getting raped is why companies continue to do it

What kind of backwards thinking you doing

I’m helping the theatre out by buying online

fukk are you talking about

3 dollars is 3 dollars :gucci:
