Are tablets the most useless tech nowadays?

I am disappointed that ALL new textbooks are not on them in 2013.

Nah i gotta disagree... You were stupid to buy a tablet and think its going to do the work of a desktop/laptop...

My ipad has plenty of use to me.

Most people are consumers. Faulting tablets for not being the do all device when it comes to creating things is unfair to tablets. They are complementary devices and are used for convenience. Being able to click an app and purchase a few movie tickets and then jumping over to the map to route your destination while in your car, without having to open a laptop or sit at a desktop is something people OBVIOUSLY value.

I recently sold iPad 4 after giving it a try again. Previously had the second one.

They both started to collect dust after one month of owning them. There is nothing you can do on them besides browsing the internet and even that is more convenient on a notebook.

Needless to say it is absolutely useless for getting the work done.

You can use a 13 inch Macbook on bed or sofa and it is as convenient if not more.

All in all this shyt is overrated fukking gimmick that can be good only for grandmas.

I use my iPad to browse the net, read books with the Kindle app and I use it in church to read the bible. It's more convenient at times than my MacBook. Hell, I'm using it right now.

for some reason i still want a droid tablet....i already got a netbook, laptop, and a custom built desktop pc along with my sony xperia ion....a tablet would just complete things in my mind..but thats just me

Yeah I sold my Galaxy not too long ago. Didn't see a point considering I have an iphone MacBook and a Dell. Waste of space and money.

shyt is handy if you have kids or read relentlessly. For myself, it's virtually useless. I stay on the laptop.
