I recently sold iPad 4 after giving it a try again. Previously had the second one.

They both started to collect dust after one month of owning them. There is nothing you can do on them besides browsing the internet and even that is more convenient on a notebook.

Needless to say it is absolutely useless for getting the work done.

You can use a 13 inch Macbook on bed or sofa and it is as convenient if not more.

All in all this shyt is overrated fukking gimmick that can be good only for grandmas.

co-fukkin-sign! i don't get the fukkin point of this shyt. it's only good for playing games on a bigger screen then your phone and anything else you do on an ipad you can do on a laptop anyway & they're not THAT much heavier or bigger.

when you're able to do everything on a tablet, same as you can on a laptop then i'll probably buy one. i already have everything on external hard drives anyway so as soon as they chuck a few USB ports in the side & make it a laptop without the keyboard attached, it'll be a must have.

The problem with tablets is you

Why did you get an ipad if you had no clue of what you wanted to do with it?

The thing is gonna be as useful as you make it

I do a lot of writing and even for a simple task like that this shyt is useless.

Once again, it is useless for creating content of any type.

It is always a compromise for whatever task you do. It can substitute laptop or PC for some things but it also increases time of completing each task.

There is a reason why videos and articles where dudes try to use tablets as their sole computing machines are called "challenges". Cause it is a fukking challenge to use it, thats why.

This "Post PC" era is a forced marketing bullshyt, only fakkits who don't create anything using computers cosign it.

I am yet to see a person using it for any type of real work and I work in IT circles.

I cant disagree with a word you just typed but you didnt know this before you bought it, twice

I bought both of mine with the full intention of it being a complementary/entertainment device

Less powerful more unwieldy version of a laptop. I have a phone that can do most of the things a tablet can do and a pc that can do everything else and a lot more.

Let's agree to a degree. :mjpls:

But this shyt is way overpriced for being a complementary device.

Microsoft Smart Glass I use daily. I also use virtual midi controllers to control my DAW. Its nice to have virtually infinite types of surfaces so I don't have to buy as much hardware any have a bunch of clutter around. I store sheet music and books on it and it makes for carrying sheet music around much easier. The apps for reading sheet music have page turning features so now dont have to either break during my page to turn or have someone else there to turn the page. I can actually emulate a live performance and get the most out of every practice session. For me tablets have a tremendous about of use. It's more of an accessory to do work i suppose
