Hanging leg raises still gonna hit them hardest IMO:yeshrug:


Yup. Hanging leg raises are fun torture

If you're breathing/bracing properly during your lifts you'll hit your core as a whole.


Core's primary function is to stabilize your spine while your other body parts are in motion.

When you think of it that way you can see why crunches are cool but not optimal.

You're better off with standing pressing motions, planks, heavy farmers carries for time/distance or even this IMO

I will say this, if you are just starting out, then forget doing abs directly. If you are advanced and want to see improvements in that department then yes do direct ab work

I never really focused on any ab workout so right now just doing planks & deadbugs until I see time to try something more difficult. Eventually try to be doing an wheel rollouts and dragon flys.
