Are financial constraints ruining action movies that need to use CGI unlike in 90s/Early 2000s?

I been saying this since forever. Only a few movies and directors know how to use it the correct way. Most directors rely on it too heavy IMO and just do away with practical effects altogether and the result is always mediocre at best.

Edit:
Road To Perdition is an example of excellent use of CGI. I can't find the scene but when he drove back into Chicago..that shyt was beautiful

When it first came out it didn't but times have change, that shyt don't look good at all, cgi is obviously superior

it's just only few movies have great cgi

the transformers looked real the jurassic park dinosaurs don't

that was the whole point, why you butt hurt, just stating obvious facts
Jurassic Park still looks dope to me...especially compared to the sequels(not including Jurassic World which has some great cgi and animatronics)

I was about to mention this in my post. The first one looks more realistic than any of the sequels and holds up way better IMO.
yeah those sequels have some bad CGI.. Jurassic World looks great for the most part...only a few scenes where i really felt like i was watching some fake shyt(when the kids are in that ball and its getting destroyed, still a dope scene).

transformers looks like pure bullshyt to me..i dont think i saw all of the movies though. which one are you referring to?

you living in a fantasy world, all the transformers robots are some of the best cgi ever done

saying that any jurassic park dinosaurs looks better is pure bullshyt lmao, none of those dinosaurs even move in a realistic way

just because the transformers movies are trash doesn't take away the great cg

Pretty good video, reminded me of this

Never once would have crossed my mind that the movie had any sort of CGI until I saw the video.

Yeah, for backgrounds it's pretty much become a custom to CGI it up. Makes sense too because it just replaces the old school matte painting backgrounds, but with even more possibilities.

Look at Jurassic park 1 vs its sequels...puppetering and models are light years better than CGI to me...cg perpetually looks dated like a video game...the star wars prequels look so phony now
