Am I the only confused about what time period Archer takes place in? I always thought it was set in the present day until this episode which had a ton of old ass card in it.

Looking back on it... maybe it's something we ain't seeing

1. Archer had a feeling that Veronica Dean was a killer... maybe he faked his death with some hollywood trickery
2. Earlier in the episode we saw MULTIPLE Krieger cyborgs... maybe there was more than 1 Archer cyborg that was used and the one floating in the pool is a cyborg too.
3. Why would Archer WILLING pull out his loaded gun on the table KNOWING that she will grab it and use it.
4. Before it all went down Cyborg Archer told human Archer "WHY ARE WE MAKING THIS PLAN SO COMPLICATED?!" so maybe its something we don't know

I want to believe Archer is not dead brehs... what are we missing?

I also think the drowning/swirlies/waterboarding connects to this somehow. Maybe he somehow developed superhuman lung capacity?

As soon as he got shot, I guess that the shot version was the real Archer and the second one was the android. Unlike the Krieger robots he didn't get shot in the head, so I figured he was wearing a vest.

I'm sticking with number 4. The plan wasn't that complicated at all from what we seen. I'm thinking it's going to involve Archer in Mexico (maybe some life insurance fraud) beating up Veronica Dean's cob webbed p*ssy while leaving Lana an alibi so she doesn't have to go to jail. He's had a history of dipping out of town for a sex with easy women whenever he has a breakup.

I hope it's not for him to become a cyborg..... They already got 6 million man parody with Barry and Katya

I should have known something was wrong...all the signs were there.

1. They didn't come out at the end of January like they always do
2. They were REALLY vague on pinning down the premiere instead of giving an actual date until really close to it
   
3. It was going to be moved from the main network to a subsidiary, FX to FXX
4. They were supposedly being attached to another brand new show the creator was making, which was cancelled before it even aired (Why would a highly favored show be paired up with a brand new show? How often does that happen....)
   
5. There were only 10 episodes this season even though it has been 13 since season 2. Season 1 was the only season with 10 episodes

Archer is dead and he is going to stay dead until the network renews Season 8. If they renew it, we will get some crazy convoluted plan to explain Archer somehow being still alive.
