I agree 100% and just to be clear, I never said Bloodborne was whack by any means. Its a GREAT game. Personally I think the combat in Bloodborne is way better than the combat in the Witcher. And the graphics are great too. Just don't sleep on Tomb Raider. Its way better than the first reboot and it should have gotten way more attention than it did. Too bad ms and Square decided to release it the way they did.Reviews are merely points of reference. One can disagree with a particular game's review because they felt like it otherwise wasn't that bad. Like take TO 1886: It's a pretty crappy game for $60 but for $20 or less?? I'd say it's a great game to play once, or maybe twice. In that sense, reviews would still be relevant but if the game is $10 then who gives a damn?? As for the TR thing, you seemed to categorically state that TR is in fact a better game than BB and that it's unfairly hated on and that people who say otherwise are inherently wrong yadda yadda. I mean yeah that's your opinion but then the way you worded it seemed like you were trying to deny the references and quality of BB, a game you didn't even finish. I made it clear from the get go that I think BB is a better game if we're going by reviews and whatnot but going off of that, the two games are completely different from each other so there's no point in even comparing the two.Saying "PS4 guys just mad" is silly because they could turn around and say "ya'll mad Bloodborne not on Xbox" and therefore any objections to BB being hailed as the GOTY is just fanboyism but that's like you said petty. I just want to play games. But not on Xbox though

Bloodborne is a great game,one of the highest reviewed of the year,has won some goty awards and the soul series is beloved on the Internet and more of a peoples champ type of title. It makes perfect sense why its winning. Souls games tend to draw up a more devoted hardcore fan base.
The witcher 3 and fallout are more mainstream games for the casual audience,wether people want to admit it or not. Open world games are the fps of last gen.
