Arabs And How They Are Viewed By Western Culture

Why do black folks always have this mindset for any other race than them?

Because we've been whipped so hard and blinded that we cannot see the forest for the trees. We've have fed so much propaganda by the 'White' power structure that we only see our own struggles as valid. This is a symptom of the victim mentality. We want to protect out own because the feeling is 'all we got is us' but in doing so we have become the perpetrators of our own prejudice. This inhibits our ability to think critically at certain junctures, furthermore our only frame of reference especially in the case of many posters, due to their age, is the image of the religious zealot flying a plane into a building. Our collective view of Arabs, has been painted by this. Not saying this in the case of everyone on this board in particular but our general worldview when it comes to racism of non-blacks in general. I believe this mindset has worked to our detriment.

Ayrabs benefit from/embrace the white powers structure and have abused our people in similar ways as Europaean imperalist. claiming racial supeririority over blacks..they aren't our brothers in the struggle. or even our peers.it...the fact that some negros sympathize for the plight of ayrabs above their own people is truely a respresentation of ignorance of history and slave mentality.

All that talk of brothers in the struggle, I never said anything like that, what I said is that calling our struggle as greater than is ultimately counter productive, this was just one example so please miss me with that. I been on these front lines fighting for US when you were in kindergarten. Just now you are using the same generalizing that limits us. Sorry, as much as you might want to push this angle, I can't co-sign with anti-Jewish hatred. Jews have done a lot of good (and some bad if you consider the state of Israel a proxy for Jews) for Black people in general (civil rights movement, and anti-apartheid movement in South Africa come to mind - Jews even helped get us a Black president!) so I'm not about to malign them just because it suits your agenda. As I said before, the anti-Arab thing is not that deep. Of course there are ignorant people who say stupid racist shyt, but there've always been ignorant people who say stupid racist shyt. The perceived hatred has a lot more to do with the religion of Islam than race. Arabs would automatically get a pass if they westernized but their interpretation of Islam is the biggest hindrance to this.

your entitled to take what ever cause you wish but is blacks have bigger fish to free than worrying about how an oppressor of black people are potrayed by another opressor of our people in their media outlets...it aint about whom's sruggle is greater which aint even a question..my point is due to the exploitive and inhumane treatement of blacks by ayrabs throughout the ages even into the present we shouldn't occupy our time worriying about their plight cause they damn sure aint figting for us...I could understand blacks sympthaizes for people with common struggles such as Native Americans,Aboriginals, or untouchables in India whom have similar plights as us but ayrabs have been a thorn in the side and persecutor of blacks for ages..Why would anyself respecting blackperson care about thier fight especially when we have our own much more pressing issues?

I agree we have our issues first and foremost, I just think it's hypocritical to minimize someone else's struggle because of generalizing that's all really.
