You know nothing about business. You don't get EU investigations for business ethics. I'm nowhere near in my feelings I just think it's beyond corny to file a 20 million dollar lawsuit over a charity event. When Tidal streamed Prince's Baltimore charity, they did it for free and gave people access even if they did not have a subscription. That's how I ended up checking out their service. But Apple will be Apple.
Dumb ass nikka :russ:

Tidal has all of Drake's music, including Back to Back, on its streaming service, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. And because it does, that makes Apple's move look petty, especially because its for a charity event.

This is clearly a move to drag Tidal's name through the mud...again, to distract people from how poorly Apple Music is doing since it launched. It could've happened and been kept private, like it was during Tidal's stream of Summer Jam.

And Damn. Drake signed his life away to Apple for $19 mil? Sounds like he lost.

There's a reason lwo does not claim you. :snoop: Apple going to stop the next relief concert streamed on TV Drake is at? There are certain things you let go in business or you do jointly. 15 minutes of Drake is not going to hurt you.

I could care less and will be trying Apple Music when it hits Android next month but that shyt is still weak.

Look, your getting clowned because you are either failing to understand or willfully ignoring the fact that streaming these benefit concerts is a promotional tool for tidal. you said yourself you first gave tidal a try to watch some other benefit. thats all this is about at the corporate level, it has nothing to do with apple wanting to help or hurt the community. in fact if this blows up into a big PR thing, apple will just write a huge check to the charity. So i am all for the bytching about them being heartless, because in the end the negative PR might make em donate to the cause. I just dont really get it because, its business, expecting morals from a business is like expecting morals from a fire. a business is gonna go after profit, a fire is going to burn whatever fuel is around. neither of these entities has a moral component. from tidal, to apple, to fire, they are all just doing whats in their nature.

if you think its wrong then vote with your wallet, i respect that... but dont get it confused Tidal is surely doing these benefit streams for promotional purposes... forcing apple to take the negative PR hit or to not enforce contracts that it paid millions of dollars for...

Nope they just won't show him. They didn't stop drake from performing just didn't let him be streamed on a competitors streaming service. It only benefits tidal and nobody else.

You still don't get it.
They are streaming him that helps tidal apple dont want that.
It would have been fukked up if Apple blocked Drake songs being on Tidal.
How did he sign his life away?
Arr you fukking stupid?
DRAKE CONTENT IS ON TIDAL NO?
HE'S GETTINH MONEY FROM TIDAL PURCHASES ON HIS SONGS THAT APPLE DONT HAVE A PROBLEM BEING ON TIDAL.!
They are still letting him earn you dummy.
He just will not be used to boost Tidal's popularity when he's clearly Apple's flagship artist for their service

It's more fukked up to remove Drake's content from Tidal than it is to block his performance during a charity event for Lil Wayne? :childplease:

The former is a business move. The latter is petty.

And that's assuming Apple has control of Drake's music, which it doesn't. If it did, they would remove Drake's content too. But Apple might have an exclusive rights window for Views or whatever is next.
And Drake performing two songs on this one streaming charity event won't boost Tidal's popularity. Tidal will have another 1,000 streaming events & exclusives down the road. It's just another petty :pacspit: to Tidal from Apple, while it faces the harsh realities of the streaming world.

Also, if Apple music, which isn't a record label or content creator, can control Drake's performances and streaming appearances, that means he gave away a lot of power for that big check. Don't be a fukking idiot. Apple isn't handing out $19 million to an artist without a lot attached to it.

I'll ask again. What do you think Nike would do if Jordan wanted to play on the Adidas benefit ball game?

They'd shut that shyt the fukk down. You have to be petty in business. You can't let ANYONE fukk with your brand

Let's go the other way. They let him do it. Maybe 5k people in the world sign up to see him. That's not a lot.

But next month spotify wants to do a benefit. Then Pepsi wants him to do one. Then Pusha T wants him to do one.... Etc etc

You can't be mad at Apple, sprite, cash money for saying HELL NO. They PAID to have you exclusive and only promote for them. Now they paid you millions. And you just gonna operate and promote and help out our comp. HELP them.

Regardless of PERSONALS feelings. BUSINESS and this contract states you won't be doing it. Now if I let it get out that I pay people AND don't hold them to contracts..... What you think my business dealings gonna be like? What you think the next 50 artists gonna try and pull? How much of that money you think they gonna give me back to say sorry?

You crush the comp. completely. Totally. Into the ground. Then take their followers as yours and grow bigger

Big bank take little bank. Plain and simple. You don't operate like this, and you'll never own an apple or Nike or major company making millions

Y'all trying to be nice out in these business streets brehs? shyt ain't no different than the drug game. Kill the competition, take their fiends, never let your workers sell off their drugs
