i'm as big a drake hater as anyone, but i don't think he's really to blame for this. this is all 100% apple being petty.

you can question his dignity for going with such a fukked up corporation though. i'm not gonna judge him for eating though. :dame:

I don't think apple is being petty, it's just business. Tidal started the exclusive artist thing first anyway. I bet Jay z would try to do the same thing if he could, but he can't because the artist that are "exclusive" to him still need apple to sell their music on itunes.

Oh, y'all must've forgot that

I admittedly have no clue what happened, but I must believe that if Tidal had come to them in advance, they could've worked something out. As it is, Drake is the biggest thing going right now (:gag:), and he "belongs" to Apple Music, so of course they don't want him appearing on a competitor's platform. dikk move? Of course. But to (loosely) quote a key individual here: it's a business. MAN.

What's petty about not letting your competitor profit off of something you paid 19 million for? Apple owns the rights to any Drake exclusives.

This is Tidal, once again, not doing their due diligence and half-assing shyt. They really thought Apple was just going to let this slide after writing a 19 million dollar check?

What are these examples of Tidal not doing their due diligence? You sound like part of their PR team. Drake was slated to do two songs. That shyt is corny no matter how you slice it. For a charity concert? As for Tidal starting the exclusive shyt, of course they did, how else would you overcome FMA. Hulu, Netflix and Prime do it right now all the time. The difference here is that, Tidal does not stop any artist with any sort of Apple connection from still cross-promoting with Apple Music even if they have exclusive Tidal shyt. Still gave NWA and Dre's Compton spotlight this week regardless of the deal. Meanwhile Apple took RIhanna's single off the front of iTunes because she did a deal with Tidal. It's corny and petty as fukk and it's why Apple was getting investigating for monopoly tactics.
