How do you do this. Do I need to download from showbox everytime I want to cast a movie. Grabbed that avia app but it only shows movies I recorded with my camera.

I run with chromecast and use tubeplus.me and streamallthis and cast from my desktop

you gotta get an app called allcast. i used to have to download shyt too but now i just open up the shobox and when i hit play, i choose allcast. only beef i have is that it skips from time to time but they are updating it like every 3 days and most of the bugs have been ironed out

When it comes to shyt you download... Just make sure the file format is mp4 and it will be able to play it perfectly.

lol, i don't f*ck with Roku but if that sh*t only plays MP4's then it's a useless piece of sh*t, just like an Apple TV if you're playing back sh*t you've downloaded.

I got a WD Live a few years ago...shyt aint even mentioned anymore :wow:

is it :flabbynsick:?

The WD TV Live is the best home media player you can buy in most cases. It chokes on higher bitrates, and the Apps perform like sh*t, but if you have a big collection of lower quality rips then it's the best media player being sold right now.

They got some other sh*t now too that has a hard drive. No idea how that hardware performs but the disc writing on the WD TV Live is *really* bad in my experience.

The new game no one is talking about is the little NUC PC's.

It depends on what you wanna do. I have an Apple TV because I have iDevices and it can mirror Movie Box (show box) and NFL and NBA games to my TV very easily and in high quality.

But I also have a cheap $40 media player called a Micca Speck for playing my downloaded files. The reason I went with that is because it plays ALL files, avi, mp4, wmv, flv, and most importantly for me mkv. It was the only one on the market I saw that could play anything you throw at it.

Between these 2 units, I have all the entertainment I need.
How you watch nba games on Apple tv

I use Chromecast. Never tried a Roku but I like being able to stream YouTube and Netflix from my phone. It's easier than starting up the PS3. Plus, I get on websites for TV shows and stream to Chromecast that way.

I have NeoTV as well. Got it on clearance. Haven't really messed with it but I consider it a back-up if I ever find myself needing it. :manny:

Just bought my Roku 3 over the weekend. It should be here sometime this week. I'm hearing a lot of horror stories about it not allowing you to stream certain files (only MP4 and MKV ) Any easy work arounds?

i download most of my vids in 1080p - file size about about 2-4gb

no issues playing at all

and i'm not much of an apps dude, but i do use the MLB app religiously (-4-6 hours a day) and have had 0 issues with it
