The more I think about this dynamic island the more I don't prefer it. I get that the camera is annoying but I'd prefer it disturbance of the screen minimized not turned into a persistent widget.

On my S22 Ultra it's a single cutout and it's mostly hidden in the notification area. It's pretty much out of sight most of the time. On that iPhone that stuff looks even lower on the screen than that. Seems like it's more intrusive. I'd give up Face ID on the Pro model to get that iPad Mini 6 touch ID.

Beyond that and the incremental improvement not really gaining any meaningful functionality and losing the SIM slot.

I think the camera cut out is slightly bigger on the 14 pro but haven’t seen anything official. Reviews drop today so hopefully wells see.

The way they implemented it is stupid. They should only have a few pixels on since it's an AMOLED screen. Android STILL does it better.

I watched a review where ol girl said that she left her phone just sitting with just the always on display on for 12 hours and it was at 100% still. plus she said she was still getting notifications. then left it on another 12 hours just sitting with the always on display and it dropped to 95%. so only 5% loss in 24 total hours

I do. I use the privacy screen protectors.

they have kept my screen from getting scratched and cracked over the years.
