If you're on the fence about upgrading, this year is probably the one to do it unless you're fine holding off til 2024. 2023 is just going to add USB-C to 2022's phones, I'm sure you'll get 1-2 bare minimum upgrades too

14 Pros are nowhere near as game changing as the X but this is the biggest leap since that year, even over the recycled 4 design they brought back with the 12

Always on Display
Major upgrade to camera
Closest the iPhone has come to no bezel/notch
Knowing Apple there'll be software stuff that the older phones can run no problem but they'll make it only available on the Pros

If you have a 13 Pro/Max it isn't worth upgrading, the absolute only reason I'm upgrading is because I thought I'd like downsizing to a smaller phone after the 11 Pro max....I was wrong lol, otherwise I'd sit til '24. The regular 14s are using last year's chip and camera with no 90hz screen, not worth getting at all

Aren't pro max phones too damn big and heavy? I'm 6'4, I'm a big man but whenever I have a pro max model in y hand I feel like I'd get tired of holding it more than 5 minutes.

Yeah forget a upgrade you need a gym membership breh. Getting exhausted holding a phone is bananas :mjlol:

Seriously though I've carried mostly phablets for the better part of a decade since I traded in my iPhone 5 for a Note 2, if I've had a choice I've almost always chosen the bigger screen so I'm used to it. Any trade offs with size you make up with a bigger screen, it took me downsizing to realize it though

I'm 5'7.25" and don't have any issues running with Max's

Anybody here planning on upgrading? If so, what will you be upgrading from and which new iPhone do you plan on getting? I’m upgrading from the 6.1 inch 12 (non-pro). I’m going for the 6.7 inch Max (non-pro).
I might trade my 12 Pro for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The battery on 12 Pro has been very disappointing. :francis:

The only thing I'm looking forward to is the 14 Pro Max having a bigger battery than 13 Pro Max. This event is gonna determine either the 14 Pro Max or 13 Pro Max.:jbhmm:

I'm keeping my Apple Watch SE. Battery life is amazing. :wow:

agreed, apple will gimp the regular 14 heavy, less ram, more camera, 60mhz but honestly i wouldn't do anything until they go type C.

pros will be heavy probably 240 grams, like 60 grams heavier than the regular 14.

gotta 12 pro max that has started to act weird…think it’s because I’m running low on storage…I upgraded every year for like 4 or 5 cycles straight, this was the first time I skipped one…Saw ZERO reason to get a 13 pro max…at least the 14 pro series is ditching the notch.. probably really need to upgrade my watch now too

the notch is rumored to be gone for the 14 Pro

As much as I despise the notch, I think the two cutouts is worse. I’d rather have the notch than some floating cutouts.
