IMO the dumbest thing ever was rushing these things out and you still need to tether it to a device.

If it's just like the Android ones, I'll wait a few generations and shyt by then Google will have dropped something far superior.

But that 399 price tag...you might be right :lupe:
I can almost guarantee that an iPhone won't be required to use it. Knowing apple they fukked around and fit a nano sim in that bytch and have it ship with a fukking bluetooth headset.

That's really what I think they did that caused this shyt to be $400

I feel like it's such a simple thing but I'm no engineer so I don't know how

The old iPod Nano (the 6th gen) that can be put on a watch strap? That shyt laid the blueprint. All you had to do was combine THAT and the Z1 Android Smartwatch that dropped in 2012 into one device.

Easy money...if this is what Apple is done...God help the tech industry this Christmas :wow:

:sadbron: brehs I don't care bout the price just let the 5.5 drop the same day as the 4.7 :blessed: I'm speaking it into existence

Speak that shyt bruh, but I'm starting to think they are gonna treat it like the galaxy note( I think it'll be called something other than iPhone 6, iPhone air? Rumors last years were calling it iPhone Math. And I think it'll have beefier specs than the 4.7 iPhone 6). Either way, hope they drop on the same day. Cuz if not, I'm copping the 4.7

That phone is too damn big. Whoever buys it but shytted on Android for having phones that are obscenely large are hypocrites.

Breh, tell me, who the hell is innovating? The smartphone industry is now mature. Its all about new services now

I'm not interested in a big ass phone regardless of who makes it. and I definitely agree that the smartphone industry seems to be at a point where they have nothing more to add.

To all of you dudes saying "b-b-but, Android already has smart watches" I thought you would've learned by now how Apple operates.

They might not always be the first to serve a need (e.g. the iPod wasn't the first mp3 player nor was the iPhone the first smartphone), but they always innovate in the small ways that matter a ton (style, ease of use, stability, etc).

You're also ignoring all the info out there that suggests Apple is going to take health/fitness tracking to the next level. You all do realize that soaring costs of healthcare and a lack of centralized, readily available health data is a HUGE problem in the US right? You know what's going to happen when doctors start recommending that their patients get iWatches for better healthcare management? And what tech company is seen as most friendly to elderly folks?
:banderas:

Also, my guess is that there's going to be some "wild card" feature that's really going to take this shyt to the next level as well...imagine being able to control your apple TV via hand gestures with your iWatch. Imagine not even having to take your phone out to board with an e-boarding pass at the airport. Think about having your iWatch lock and unlock your phone or Mac through proximity. I mean the possibilities are endless.

Oh, but I'm forgetting that Android phones have better specs. :troll:

This shyt is and will always be about the ecosystem. So until Google finally tells their OEM partners , the Apple experience is going to shyt all over the skinned, glitchy Droid experience for most users.

It's already happening. My company makes software that hospitals use to get compliant for meaningful use. and meaningful use is nothing more than the gov't saying how they want all hospitals and health care providers to be able to more easily share information between. And of course that means by using technology. If apple starts using their health software to get in the mix of all that.......:ohlawd:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_health_record#Meaningful_use

Meaningful use
The main components of Meaningful Use are:

  • The use of a certified EHR in a meaningful manner, such as e-prescribing.
  • The use of certified EHR technology for electronic exchange of health information to improve quality of health care.
  • The use of certified EHR technology to submit clinical quality and other measures.
In other words, providers need to show they're using certified EHR technology in ways that can be measured significantly in quality and in quantity.[131]

The meaningful use of EHRs intended by the US government incentives is categorized as follows:

  • Improve care coordination
  • Reduce healthcare disparities
  • Engage patients and their families
  • Improve population and public health
  • Ensure adequate privacy and security

And of course, when a hospital gets meaningful use compliant, the gov't breaks them off a nice chunk of change for doing so, even tho it will become mandatory in the future. So by doing it now, they get some bread for doing something that will have to do eventually.

Some crazy rumors saying they might sneak in an iPad Air 2 update with laminated screen, Touch ID, A8 :lupe: not sure I believe it though, way too much to pack in one conference

what's a laminated screen???

btw, the ipad air NOT having the touch ID was some bullshyt last time.

also, the new iphone is sposed to be entirely made of sapphire glass right?? same shyt they make the touch ID out of.

The laminated screen will actually make the iPad not useless outdoors by preventing reflections on the screen. The lack of Touch ID on the iPad Air last year was expected because apple had trouble with getting enough of them in the iPhone 5S last year in the early production stages. I doubt they announce iPad Air 2 next week though
