Apparently it wasn’t only Dave Chappelle. Hollywood tried to put Tommy Lister in a dress, too. (Deebo)

The only media/news site opinion piece I found that supported that there was nothing wrong Hollywood putting Black men in dresses was Blavity. For some reason, all of the rest were against it, including an NPR article I am going to post below.

Since this is a social issue that can not objectively be determined on what is the intentions of placing Black celebrities in dresses, we can all choose which side of the aisle we want to support. I personally do not like sites like Blavity, the Root, and Very Smart Brothas whose opinion pieces seem to be very positively biased towards LGBTQ+. I choose the anti-Black man in dress side, and will use articles from news and media sites that I feel opinion pieces are more balanced on these sort of issues.

am I the only one who thinks this Hollywood's initiation of putting black men in a dress conspiracy is overblown or doesn't exist at all?

Its just some dudes don’t wanna admit they live vicariously through people they don’t know and ironically enough they tend to pick comedians or comedic actor

personally I don’t care for it

But I ain’t losing sleep over a mf getting big money to do it either

actors have been crossdressing since ancient rome ffs

this is conspiracy addled nonsense
It also makes you wonder why they hired a shytty agent who doesn’t filter out trash scripts.

Imagine a small white Jew on Tiny’s payroll setting up a meeting to pitch a role where he wears a dress. I don’t buy it.:unimpressed:

i wouldn't call it a conspiracy as the resident conspiracy hater. yes men in dresses is as old as shakespeare in acting field. it's an actual tradition because they wouldn't let women on stage. also theatre was a natural attraction to men with a compulsion to cross dress for the same reason. they could do it safely and within reason.

however it is hard to discount the fact that a lot of Black actors have been asked to wear the dress especially comedians when it's not even relevant to anything on screen. And the claim was that they write it in. it might not be part of the original script. I don't think there is a grand conspiracy or initiation just white men being weird.

It's really about their religion, yes Hollyweid has a religion and if you wanna be down you must pay tribute to the gender less ones.

Biggest most masculine white actors in a dress?

Could you post this list?

I’m pretty sure John Wayne, Bob De Niro and Al Pacino never wore a dress. Did they have Martin Brando in a dress?

Maybe they did. But I don’t recall it.

I hope your list is actually big time masculine men in dresses. And not just “I recognize this white man’s name” in a dress.
Arnold Schwarzenegger? shyt, he got pregnant in a movie too. De Niro wore a dress in stardust.
