Apparently it wasn’t only Dave Chappelle. Hollywood tried to put Tommy Lister in a dress, too. (Deebo)

Biggest most masculine white actors in a dress?

Could you post this list?

I’m pretty sure John Wayne, Bob De Niro and Al Pacino never wore a dress. Did they have Martin Brando in a dress?

Maybe they did. But I don’t recall it.

I hope your list is actually big time masculine men in dresses. And not just “I recognize this white man’s name” in a dress.
Is this enough homo erotic material to satisfy you tonight . If not hit up google. Y’all cats have to cut this shyt out we as black folks have real issue in real life and Hollywood but it isn’t dudes paid Millions to wear dresses for movies

So this list has practically zero men who are widely viewed as masculine icons.

Maybe just Cillian Murphy and Kurt Russell.
That's it.

This falls WAY, WAY SHORT of your claim that "the biggest and quintessential masculine white actors"

:unimpressed:

It's pretty serious. You've heard plenty of stories of actors losing starving themselves to play an anorexic person or gaining 100lbs to be the fat character, bulking up to play the tough guy, losing all their muscles to not be a tough character, isolating themselves, using drugs or alcohol to channel the character, staying in freezing weather, living in different countries, speaking different languages, not responding to their given name but only the characters name even outside of filming....sure not everyone is as dedicated or as hard of a worker/actor, but you can't say it's not serious.

It's serious.

I just saw @skylove4 ’s list :dame:

yah , he is right. There are even some masculine a-list celebs missing from his list. George clooney , brad pitt and bruce willis have also done the dress thing too. And travolta from @skylove4 ‘s list was a bonefide masculine icon in the same era as deNiro and Pacino. So has the uber-masculine arnold shwarzanegger

People saying it's not that serious are delusional. The issue isn't just emasculation, it's the idea that refusing to wear the dress makes you "difficult to work with" and in some cases unbookable.

And for the folks drawing the white comparison, they do that to emasculate and then, too. Doesn't make it okay.

Finally, there's the aspect of black men in dresses being used as pawns to mock and degrade black women. Almost every role is "comical" and plays in the worst stereotypes about black women.

Thank you. I’m one of the first to call foul on racism or plots against the black community but this isn’t one. It’s almost as bad as black folks claiming every famous black person is in the illuminati. I try to deal in facts:yeshrug:

Their choice, no one is forcing them to do it.:yeshrug:

Dave walked away from 50M, but didn't walk away from a dress. We all have to make choices and live with the decisions.

Life's about making decisions; good or bad

No one is saying they dont have to make choices. They do, we know they do, we have to make choices too. Everyone does, thats life.

To say that the choices that we have to make in life arent serious, is an incorrect statement. Choices are serious, some more than others and they arent always difficult or easy.

This is a smart dumb nikka talk. White comedians and actors have been put in dresses since TV was invented probably more than black ones

I have been binge watching Quantum Leap (The OG one), and ole dude was all up in the dress. Like dude had the toes did and the hairy chest semi waxed :picard::dame::dame::dame::dame:

While, the black man in drag trope is questionable, that line of dedication blows Martin Lawrence "Big Momma's House" steez out of the window.

Hollywood is just a hell haven shythole of degenerates.

In the history of theater/play isn't female acting still relatively new? During Shakespeare's day they had men play all the women. That's just how it was.

Acting may just not be a profession you can do in harlem.
