Listening to it now, that M.O.P. track :wow:

i like some of his production but it really all blends together and the way he chops his samples is almost always the same. i enjoyed maybe 2 or 3 songs from this. otherwise it was a very forgettable project to me.

co-sign, this is why I hardly ever get through his instrumental projects, I really love his sound though, as long as he has a nice mc there (and he seems to almost always find the right persons to work with) I love his music:ahh:

I like the tracks but can he chill with the same fake vinyl sample on every song? Like it's cool when you have a vinyl sound in a sample naturally but to overlay that sound over the top of the full length of every song is bordering on obnoxious.
That's my only gripe with his production. Like chill breh...if you aint got crates like that, it's alright

I liked the song he did but he gets kind of boring. And that wannabe Nas flow is distracting. Idk.
I think its only boring if his beats are trash...he has Nas flow and everybody thought he was the shyt until they seen he wasnt actually Nas lol

Yeah the Nas stans thought it was some secret project. :mjlol:

I think he purposely channels Nas flow in his rhymes..only difference is Nas is a compelling lyricist. This dude can get boring cuz he doesn't have the smarts and cleverness of nas.

I agree that he chops his samples the same way too often, and you almost always know how he'll use a vocal sample...but that shyt is still dope. It still knocks. When that first track hits on this album it's :whoo: even tho I could have predicted how it would sound.

On first listen the Ras Kass, MOP, and last 3 tracks are the standouts.

Disappointed in the OC song, would be one of the weakest songs on Trophies.

Chino XL is wack "Oscar the grouch, the world is my trash can" with the super duper straining as hard as I can multi style.

Good sh1t overall though. His style is very repetitive but hasn't gotten old to me. I still play Trophies and Dice Game regularly.
