been having that Chino XL & Finale on repeat
I like the tracks but can he chill with the same fake vinyl sample on every song? Like it's cool when you have a vinyl sound in a sample naturally but to overlay that sound over the top of the full length of every song is bordering on obnoxious.
yeah it's an unfortunate side effect of people pursuing a certain sonic aesthetic.
Aw man. I hate when I notice shyt like that and can't un-notice it. I was listening to the Evidence joint and the quality of the sample sounded too high for that crackling right as I read your post.
A few producers do that and I've never liked it. That shyt is all over some albums in a natural way (like Hell on Earth) and it sounds dope but when it's clearly added after it's weird.
I still think the album is dope though.
Yeah man, I slept on him too. I always liked him but never went out of my way to check for his stuff until the last year or two. Very dope producer.yeah it's an unfortunate side effect of people pursuing a certain sonic aesthetic.
When done right, it's dope, when it isn't, it's distracting and just doesn't seem to fit.
I'm about to run through this album, one of those dopest producers out and he doesn't
get the love that he should !
