Identity politics won this election. White identity politics. Harris had the same people working with her that Obama and especially Biden had. Whereas Obama was the first and enough to inspire a lot of black people and young people to get out so they can be part of history, Harris did not have that going for her.
Biden was a white man, so whites assumed he'd still hold up white supremacy especially since he has a track record of backing crime bills and meeting with blatant racist senators in Washington.
White men and white women got on code, everyone else was too beaten down and not inspired to care enough to go out and vote. They also made the mistake of assuming their neighbors would not be stupid enough to vote for a rapist who supported a coup, but yet here we are.
