Samoans have more genetically in common with Taiwanese Aboriginees than Native Americans, other than scattered occurences off the west coast of south america.
There's a reason Native American studies as a topic covers the ENTIRE Americas, not just Natives of North America. Yes there are sub groups of Indigenous peoples, there are differences in culture between, south, meso american and north american tribes. But they are literally similar genetically, hell words in the Cherokee-Creek language have similarities to Mayan.
