The closest I can think of is Vicente Guerrero. He was a fukking real one.
An Afro-Mexican with dark skin, Vicente Guerrero joined the Mexican independence movement (which was openly opposed to slavery) in 1811, became its commander-in-chief in 1815 after the previous leader was executed by a government firing squad, and kept on fighting until his entire army was virtually defeated in 1821. Though he was clearly losing the decade of fighting had worn down the government forces so much that their military commander came to Guerrero to sign a peace treaty and agreed to support independence and to pledge to unity of all peoples African, European, and Indigenous. Eight years later Guerrero became the 2nd president of independent Mexico, defeated Spanish forces when they attempted to reconquer the country, granted rights to indigenous people, and formally abolished slavery in Mexico in his first year of rule, 30 years before John Brown's attempted insurrection. Asshurt wealthowners and white slaveowners opposed the move and Guerrero was forced to resign just three months after the declaration and fled for his life. The next president ordered his assassination and he was found and killed two years later.
Despite their reaction, the declaration stuck, and slavery was formally banned. That ban was part of the reason Texas seceded from Mexico.

I mean, I know that #ADOS is insistent on even burning their bridges with every non-ADOS Black person in the country in the name of some sort of ethnic purity movement, but I'm constantly perplexed on who y'all think our allies are gonna be who are going to pass the most difficult bill to pass in American history.
No racist Whites are going to vote for it. No racist Asians or Latinos are going to vote for it. NO rich people are going to vote for it WHEN THE MONEY WILL COME FROM THEIR POCKETS. Some of y'all even seem insistent on ensuring that Black non-ADOS don't support it either.
Who who do you have left? There's ADOS, Latinos who see themselves as "people of color"/allies, and some portion of liberal Whites (who some of y'all are insisting on calling "anti-Black). That's IT. Those are the only voting pools you have. ADOS by themselves are only 10% of the vote, you need 50-60% more to create the sort of mandate you need to force the hand of the racist-ass senators who ain't gonna do shyt about it unless the voters absolutely demand it.
I just don't understand the gameplan. Ya'll shyt on every possible ally while demanding your politicians pass some shyt that will never happen without a good 2/3 of the country approving it. Where do you think that's gonna go?
If reparations is ever passed, it will come from a coalition of Black Americans of ALL backgrounds, anti-racist Latinos, anti-racist Asians, and anti-racist Whites who aren't too rich. There are no other options. The racists and the rich fukkers are not going to support fukking shyt under any circumstances because Black people going into their pockets, taking their money, and using it to make themselves of equal status is literally the #1 worst-case scenario for them that they will NEVER compromise on.
Either make allies or just move on to some non-political goals. I really don't get the current strategy.

Even before Spain invaded the Aztec Empire, the original inhabitants at that time were not "Native Americans". They spoke an entirely different language, different religion, no shamans and different deities. My great grandmother is native American, not Mexican and looks nothing like a Mexican. Native Americans look more like samoans.
Mexico came from its own country trading on its own people during the Spanish vs Aztec empire war to side with Spain like Mexicans that support trump. A lot of the people have identity issues and even believe they're either part black, Irish or Italian.

Samoans have more genetically in common with Taiwanese Aboriginees than Native Americans, other than scattered occurences off the west coast of south america.There's a reason Native American studies as a topic covers the ENTIRE Americas, not just Natives of North America. Yes there are sub groups of Indigenous peoples, there are differences in culture between, south, meso american and north american tribes. But they are literally similar genetically, hell words in the Cherokee-Creek language have similarities to Mayan.

She was middle class. Her dad grew up in working class Bronx, made his life as an arcitect and was able to move out to the suburbs to a 2-bedroom house when AOC was five (though she obviously still hung with the rest of her family who was still in the Bronx). He died of cancer when she was still a teenager, that combined with the housing collapse/recession and AOC's student loan debt put the family in a pretty bad financial situation, both her and her mom were working multiple working-class jobs. They had liens placed on their spots for not being able to pay property taxes and she can legit say that she was working class again from when her dad died until when she was elected to Congress.
