Poor progressives, bunch of young cacs who talk down to black ppl instead of sitting down and listening to them. Then wonder why black ppl don’t like them or their policies.
People claim they want progressive policies, but support moderate candidates.
It is what it is. I’ve accepted that progressives are the minority in the Dem party.

Bernie has a fair amount of blame for the state of political expectations and reasonability in the discourse.
Progressives are fighting an uphill battle against a corporatocracy thats willing to spend billions defending its core.
Ask people if they want universal health care they say yes. Try passing a bill for universal healthcare thats when the ad buys start up showing middle class moms saying its evil.
Soon as the bill tanks or the progressive loses the election ask them again they'll tell you they support universal healthcare

Even if it were true that they were dealing with those barriers, given that they have likely been dealing with those barriers for awhile:
1) how come they haven't figured out how to overcome those barriers?
2) given that those barriers will be present for the foreseeable future, what's the progressive strategy moving forward?

They need someone charismatic with good communication skills to come along and just be a tornado that goes nuclear on everyone: the right and centrist Dems and speak to pain people are feeling.
That’s a cynical outlook—the idea that a magnetic figure is needed to build progressive power around but I don’t really see what else will at this point.
