the way some people are framing this is literally the only way to absolve the DNC of responsibility for the clusterfukk. there is no version of kamala that wins nationally at anything if there's ever a vote involved. and we knew this because even in a controlled environment, she failed rapidly.

She was thr VP because Biden needed to ensure the black vote and was struggling to coalesce the party after the progressives lost out on Bernie and Kamala. For the second time in a row the primary ended and people didn’t automatically come together. Some compromises had to be made and one was Biden as a white man needed a women and/or a minority on the ticket. Which I think is fair because we’re not republicans. We don’t just agree white peoples need to always lead on everything.

Also you are absolutely right that Joe was supposed to be a 1 term guy. I am not trying to absolve the DNC I am saying that if we follow the your thinking through we were fukked the moment Biden went up there and had a horrible debate. Personally I think the issue was the Democrats knew this, and put Kamala up there as a hail Mary to win the election and not have Biden dragged congress down with his bad approval numbers.

A primary didn't happen because like the actual primary before, nobody spoke up. Why did nobody speak up? Because everyone was convinced that the only person who could beat Trump was Biden. That also explains why there was never a plan to transition from Biden. Biden may have fukked up going straight to Harris, but he had a person in mind. He made a decision. Hell, he made a safe, easy decision compared to everyone else who STILL don't know who they want.


The election was done after the first debate, so for Kamala to round up the interest she had was solid for her, but Democrats from the top down have no one to blame but themselves. Even now, the early favorite is the one guy who might cost the Democrats Calfornia.
