People are falling all over themselves when the simple answer is that folks just don't want a female president. Clinton got hit with the same bull...
That's only part of it.
It's because they associated her with an unpopular president. If she'd refused to be the VP, she wouldn't be associated with Biden.
If Trump doesn't change anything about Bidens policies meant to fix the mess he made, the economy would change for the better and he'd claim credit.
But he's a dumbass who actually doesn't care to understand economics surrounded by people every bit as stupid as him. If the economy doesn't improve, he has literally nobody to blame since he was the one in charge and said he'd fix it.
Downballot voting is important. There are things your municipal and state government can do to help you. It's theoretically possible for a state to use its state tax revenue to invest in a public Health insurance system that stacks on your private health insurance to reduce the cost of your medication and to slash the costs of all your medical bills. Other states use their revenue to give people things like parental leave.
If dems want to win federally(assuming the Republicans don't make drastic changes to the electoral system to stay in power to the point where votes don't matter ) they have to support all candidates running in smaller races. Even if it's a fukking dog catcher, they should be getting an email or a call saying "let us know if you need anything"
They've learned they need to invest in online media too. I don't know what that's going to look like, but you might see some podcasters slowly becoming more political. Whether that will just be a natural consequence of the news showing 24hr mayhem caused by Trump or if it's because of additional funding will be unclear.
