Anyone who plays profanity laced music around children/elders has no class or standards

I'm 29 and I still won't play my music around my dad or curse around him. And if my mom were alive there's no way in hell I would. If I'm riding around with my grandmother best believe it's on sports talk or classic rock or a news station. Last thing I want her to hear is Prodigy talking about putting holes through your shirt like Jamaican clothes

Yep. That is why I can't understand why people are pushing so hard to push songs with curse words to young kids.

I was playing OBFCL 2 with my two and a half year old daughter in the room. My thinking is she doesn't yet understand what she's listening to. That being said, when Ghost's verse on Gihad came on, I switched to the next song with the quickness :russ:
:russ::russ::russ:

Yoooooo I read the first sentence and automatically thought "naahhh what about Gihad tho :whoa:"

glad you skipped that part my man :pachaha:

I agree. I have a 7 year old and we listen to all types of genres so he is exposed to all kinds of music like i was growing up.

Reggae and Country are his favorites. Even Blake Shelton has a little swearing every now and again :yeshrug:

Damn, I have driven by the elementary school with my windows down bumping some music, and I gotta agree with the OP that's my bad. Though for the most part the lyrics are probably inaudible cuz of the bassor its like some Outkast or Wu that has somewhat of a positive message...

I can't even play urban radio with my daughter in the car, the music is just so wratchet, even with the edits.

I pretty much play Roots, Lupe, Mos Def, Digable Planets, & Tribe Called Quest with her in the car, which is all pretty much profanity free music. R&B these days is almost worse than the rap music with the vulgarity.

:russ:at mentioning elders...like they aint just old people who cuss just like everyone else. Where you think the youngins got it from.

Now I do feel profanity laced music should not be blasted say on a train/park or store.

Fuk outta here if you want me to be considerate when im driving MY car. Or if you decide to catch feeling because you hear my music leaking out my headphones.

This white guy on the train tried giving me a evil eye cuz I had Kendrick blacker the berry playing:pacspit:

This was something I realized quick after becoming a patent. I couldn't bump any of my favorite albums/songs with the kids around because none of that shyt was appropriate for children :francis:. I was stuck listening to the Top 40 shyt I can't stand.

U right. But This is a different era tho. 90s hip-hop changed thngs up. Prior to The 90s, music blasting with curse words wasn't the norm. So its noticable to someone who seen the change . For me such a change without being checked is a sign of social deterioration not social growth .

Exactly. Soon all black music will be filled with explicit lyrics and c00n amthems. A polar opposite from the 70s.
