Yeah, just finished watching. Hell of a season and hell of a finale
. The show isn't afraid to keep moving and put characters in different places. Listening to the Watch, I believe they said the creators are taking inspiration from Michael Clayton for S4 (haven't watched the movie), but I imagine it will look different and have faith they have something good cooked up
The Pierpoint era seems to be over and Eric is leaving with 20 million
, but not before giving a hell of a speech and shedding a few tears
I'm glad we got another moment with him and Harper, as that dynamic was great on the show. They do share a love of the game, even if they didn't always agree how to play it.
Harper isn't about eating donuts and planning company hangouts. I'm glad she is carving her own path by shorting companies (some of the finance stuff isn't always clear to me). Can see her storyline leaning into Clayton next year and maybe a return of Jay Duplass since he's out of jail now.
The Rob/Yasmin storyline was bittersweet. A brief possibility of normalcy and a kind of happiness, before the harsh reality of upbringing, class, security, and comfort came crashing down on them. "Hurt people, hurt people" and like others have mentioned Yas was hurt in a way she can't even bare to admit to herself
Rob definitely seemed to be in a place he understood.
Rishi
. I'm glad gambling has never really appealed to me like that. Almost didn't recognize his wife with her new hair color. That shyt went down on his birthday too
. His wife, even when they were separated did seem to genuinely care for him. Now every year getting older is a reminder of just how much his sickness has cost him.
