It was good not great, similar to Insidious in that it started strong but lost it's impact by the end (right around the time a bunch of ghost kids were playing hide and seek with dude and telling him to "shhh" for no reason and just to throw this in there was absolutely no purpose for the son's night terrors)...Great score though which is pretty big for a horror movie and it could have been a good twist if the previews didn't completely blow that.

SMH...it hasnt even been about being scary for me anymore....

SMFH....Im 30 years old...and as a horror fan, I've seen thousands of horror films.

Sinister had an interesting story, especially considering it had a hollywood release, considering hollywood horror sucks fukking donkey dikk.

So, even if this shyt wasnt scary, it definitely had a refreshing story from the bullshyt that has been coming out

The story was definitely different but they undercut themselves by showing the big twist ending in their trailers...turned the whole movie into a pretty predictable joint. It also didn't help that the protagonist was a complete moron, dude legitimately has a shot at dumbest protagonist in horror movie history with a bunch of teenage virgins as his competition and he wasn't even a likeable character.

It's definitely a creative concept and wasn't bad, but it also had some serious flaws imho.

:obama: ....props for your opinion.

I definitely agree with you, it did have some flaws...but still, when i compare this shyt to theatrical horror thats coming out...i think it was pretty good :takedat:

Im not saying it was scary (though I wont lie, some of it was a little unsettling...but thats not the same as scary)...but I think the overall story was pretty dope...and its precisely the reason i think DTV horror is killing theatrical horror for the past few years....to see a theatrical horror flick with an at least decent story was refreshing

Thought it was garbage, and I was anticipating it....Very repetitive, lack of a good explanation, cheap thrills and shock value, it was C- horror dressed up with a legit lead and a decent budget.

Sinister had me for a while when I saw it. I always find psychological horror movies(at first glance) scarier than cheap jumps and scares. The way they showed the films and that music that played during them made me dreadful.

PA1 had me shook though. It was fresh as hell at the time and I watched it at home with 1 person in the dark and that shyt had me googling if it was real. The 2nd one was even scarier. Horror movies lately though haven't been THAT scary honestly to me. I recently saw Mama and it was ight.

Honestly, 'The Woman In Black' is awful...so mediocre in all ways, story, character, tension, scares, ending, it's garbage. I saw that in theaters, I cannot believe they ran ads with people who were saying it was the scariest movie ever, like the audience reaction in the theater...
