Only thing I find hard to believe is if there was really people like Samuel Jackson back then?
Django and Hildie barely had any dialogue directed toward each other.
They were separated for years but could sense each other. When the Doc mentioned a 'friend' that came to save her she 'knew'. Django's first words when reuniting with her was not a lyrical masterpiece. He picked up right where they left off years ago and said "Hey Troublemaker"...and Hildie fainted.
If anyone has been reunited with someone, thats exactly how it happens...even if you thought you were going to say something profound.
Next...Django and Hildie avoided eye contact mostly but the lady of the house felt the connection AND Sam Jackson felt it too...and then pressed the issue.
The Doc knew what was up from the jump, especially after he told Django about the German fairytale involving Broomehilda and Siegfried.
Just seen it, it was definitely some c00n shyt. It was a good movie but what was the fukking point of making a movie set in slavery era. But the only reason they actually use slavery was to setup the villain / hero dynamic and impossible rescue mission. I feel like I just watched taken meets kill bill and somebody said fukk it let's set this in the slave era to be different . I see why nikkas said fukk this role. They could have made this movie in any time setting and it would have still have been good.
QT overdid it with the soundtrack in this movie, too many damn songs, felt like a music video half the time
sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
when 100 black coffins kicked in i felt like
but my reaction to the john legend song was
this was his first time having original music in his movie so i don't think it should be a recurring thing in his next movies.
your ignorance is showing. QT wanted to make a spaghetti western. a lot of spaghetti westerns are set in the civil war era yet conveniently ignore the topic of slavery. QT made a western set 2 years before the civil war when slavery was still going on. it's pretty obvious why it would be set in slavery era.
I think the Kill Bill movies, especially Volume 1, had original music.
this was a love story breh, fukk what qt talking about. a story about a man trying to save his chick from a villain with action and revenge..now how many movies had that same Damn concept? now you really going to act like this nikka HAD to tell that story through a slavery lane fukk outta here only thing ignorant is nikkas cosigning this bullshyt c00n movie. If you really think because qt wanted to make a western that makes it cool I swear I don't know how to take a dude like you serious. Seems like to me if qt wanted to tell a story about a hero saving his lady against all odds he could have done it a lot more tastefully.
