The Sweet Science
:what:

It's been proven that they use cheaper materials in the retros than the originals.

The originals were made to ball in, the retros are released for fashion purposes. Even then the originals are not made with material that much higher in quality than the retros. Its not like the difference between aluminum
and platinum.

You can't prove something is "cheaper" because that's not an objective term. It's subjective. Now it may be "LESS EXPENSIVE" (read. 'more cost-effective), and/or of POORER QUALITY (which I'm sure it's not :shaq2:), but saying something is cheaper than something else really has no qualitative value on the value of the product. :aicmon:

Anyways, if the HOMES of these little Africans in America were in tact and had real VISION, LEADERSHIP, and values then they wouldn't try to GROW from withOUT by adorning themselves with JEWELRY and SHOES. Maybe seeking WITHIN is a better way to feel good about yourself.

Huge difference between helping everyone out and helping one person out who went out of their way to help you out and be there for you when you were nobody.

There is nobody in your past who went above and beyond on your behalf who you would help out if they needed it? Not one person? :comeon:

to be completely 100 with you, it would entirely depend on the circumstances. for example I have a younger buddy who is running a fabrication car shop and LA, and i financially back him just simply to help him out and get him off his feet so he can do his craft and help people and not have a shyt job sellin' nacho chips (im not being racists or anything, thats what he did prior), I know he has a talent and i want to help those who i care about in any way i can.. however. ..if my 3rd grade teacher or high school or college basketball coach wanted money i'd look at them with :comeon:

HUGE difference with being in someones inner circle / friend and being a coach or whatever, i played ball up until my senior year in college and never did i feel like i was beholden to any coach, i was the one putting in 4-5hrs a day practice not them, i earned what i got, and took pride in that

no grown man is beholden to another grown man

what you do for your friends or family is an entirely dif situation

to each their own i guess

This is the same dude who charges inner city youth $150-200 for a pair of sneakers put cheaply together with subpar materials by kids in a third world country. :mjpls:
You mean Nike correct? He does not set the price Nike does, i hope you get that and all players who are endorsed by Nike have their products made in the same factory, so everyone on the Nike roster is to be held accountable correct? Not just MJ. All the players on every team on every sport Nike covers have to be held accountable, so stop blaming 1 man for inner city youth product consumption and crime.

Doesn't this guy have a family or friends who could assist him?

The guy who wrote this article was probably approached first for some money.

Muthafukka was probably like :mjpls: and pulled out his typewriter...

"Dear Michael Jordan..."

Coaches can't just open the gym early for everybody or let everybody drive their car or come to their house for dinner but this guy did that shyt for Mike. If this was just some random nikka that Mike happened to have 3rd hour Biology with or who he sat at the same lunch table with that one time then your post would apply.

I think the issue that most reasonable people have is the lack of loyalty being displayed for a man that went out of his way to help him when he was nobody. Mike doesn't have to do shyt he doesn't want to however that doesn't stop it from being fukked up and I think that is what most fair-minded people are saying here. I guess it's common for coaches/teachers to invite nikkas into their homes, let them use their car, and give them one on one attention outside of school hours. I guess that's just par for the course huh? :usure:

You can't just ignore the fact that this man went out of his way both on and off the court for Mike and just lump him in with every other random from Mike's past.
