It is tough for men of that generation to be vulnerable especially if the were good men. Their lives revolved around protecting their families and providing for them. Going out with their boots on and no complaints.
I know and that’s what makes me so sad. I’m gonna have to fly in more frequently to spend time because he won’t say a thing if something is going on.

Same. I saw my dad cry more than my mom. We weren't on speaking terms for two years but now we talk almost everyday. He talks about how he's feeling a lot to me

Not sure about this one. Over emotional is possibly as bad as being unemotional.
