It's that time of the year. This is the part of the calendar where NFL teams build up the top QB's then proceed to tear them down in the next few months based off of "rumors". Then a 2nd round QB shoots up the board with hype comes out of nowhere. We saw this happen with Zach Wilson, Josh Rosen, and Mitch Trubisky. This year's overhyped QB is Will Levis. Just watch, Will Levis name is going to be mentioned a lot after the media tears down Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. Since there are 2 top Black QB's this year, the Levis hype will act as counterbalance to Young and Stroud.
He's already garnering mentions from the top names of the draft. Mel Kiper Jr. says that Will Levis is his top QB of the 2023 draft. The workout hype for Will Levis is going to be insane. His status is going to vault when he throws rockets on his Pro Day and there will be quotes from anonymous GM's saying that Levis should be the #1 QB. Look at the video below, tell me it doesn't remind you of Zack Wilson?
My prediction is that Levis will be drafted top 3. Look at the Texans to give him a hard look. Teams are going to overthink this and make the same mistakes they did when they drafted Trubisky over Mahomes and Wilson over Fields.
