is there a section in there on sports?
not in this paticular book. sports is a huge part of modern propaganda though. if anyone has any good documentaries or articles on it post it.
edit: it does have a chapter related to art and science though.

lotta people doubt that there are men pulling strings and controlling how people think, but that shyt is definitely real
just finished watching this video
and I was just thinking to myself all week that somewhere, there's got to be some kind of official psychology manual on advertising and using the people's desires against them since I've long thougt it's crazy how marketing these days works.
And it turns out this stuff is actually about a hundred years old
Now I have to find this book and why is this guy not nearly as famous as Freud?

You have to be cognizant of what you think and mostly importantly, why you think it on a daily basis.....It can be very tiring mentally......That's probably why some of the people with no history of mental illness snap for no apparent reason...
Check out this book called The Waste Makers.
Its one of those books you think you won't like, but can't put it down.
This guy will make you reconsider everything you thought about our current culture.
Basically, mass consumption as it exists today was created so that people would spend money on things they don't need.
For example, by 1950 most people had refrigerators. Companies couldn't sell more refrigerators because so many people had them. They started to make their own products obsolete. This is what Apple does, they come out with a seemingly better version, so people upgrade.
Refrigerators are technologically the same as they were 50 years ago, so why did people upgrade. FASHION. They also started to make them break easier and last for shorter periods of time. Most people upgrade now because the products are so flimsy they don't last long.
This is one of the reasons I love reading books like this, because we take for granted the way things are not realizing how they got that way.
Yeah
He said financing was created so that people could buy things they couldn't afford and keep buying and buying and buying. Do you ever look at Cuba and wonder how these people are still driving old American cars 50 years later. These older cars still work despite a new Kia not being able to last 7 years. Manufacturers purposefully did this to keep you as a CONSUMER. Keep you buying.

i guess he thinks its a "conspiracy theory.''
idk something about manipulating the masses like this just seems demonic to me.
doubt thats it but i wont hypothesize... i remember learning about it in 7th grade, we had to draw pro-american propaganda posters, as if we were living thru WW2. noam chomsky has some things to say about it, im not too familiar with his work but i get the feeling he curbs more dissent than he provokes, helping younger americans find that ''comfortable center-line'' in what it is they accept their government doing.
once u see it as a common, neutral process, the only propaganda u will find demonic is the kind that doesnt hold to your personal values.
