shyt your post just reminded me that the first time I saw Money Talks was at my uncles crib. We rented it from the video store. So if it came out in 97, then I probably saw it around 99, cuz we ended up renting Blade too:blessed:

It's funny because my mom is super christian and would only let me rent PG or PG 13 movies (I used to have to sneak into my older brothers room to watch shyt like horror movies and rated r black movies) but my uncle is more laid back and chill. So I went to stay the week with him over the summer and he said we could go to the movie store to rent some movies. He set my 11 year old ass loose in the store to "pick out what I wanted" and I came to the counter with Blade, Money Talks, Halloween H20, The Faculty, I Got The Hook Up, and The Players Club:mjgrin:

He was looking at the movies I picked out like :gucci:"my sister let you watch this shyt?

I was like "sometimes:troll:"

He was:martin: and made me put back the Players Club:camby: but I got to watch the rest of them as a compromise so I was still happy:whew:

I still remember watching Blade while he was ordering pizza and I'm sitting in front of the tv watching blood and guts like :krs: and he glanced at the tv like wtf is this:damn::huhldup:

I spent the next 3-4 days watching and rewatching all that profanity and violence, eating pizza and wings while he looking uncomfortable:patrice:and asking me if I wanted to go outside to play basketball

To top it off, this week also included me watching Nitro and Monday Night Raw, at the peak of the attitude era, with The Rock talking about poontang pie and sticking shoes up candy asses, the divas having bra and panties matches, and Undertaker sacrificing daughters on crosses:wow:

He took me home like don't tell your mama I let you watch all that shyt:francis:

You took me back with your post :salute:

My mom was the same way

I got a free rental coupon at Blockbuster from school

So she takes me to Blockbuster... I get a game and she asks me if I wanted to rent a movie too:ahh:

The movie I wanted to rent was "Don't Be a Menace to South Central" but there was no way in hell she would let me rent that :whoa:

So what I did was....while she was looking at movies in another aisle I switched tapes between "Cool Runnings" and "Don't Be a Menace" :shaq:

She comes back and asks me what movie I wanted to rent and told her I wanted to get "Cool Runnings" :lolbron:

We walk up to the counter and she didn't even trip on the name of the tape :mjlol:

I must have watched it at least 10 times during that weekend :myman:
