Nikkas clutching their pearls, but I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same way. Of course, people dying was fukked up, and I lost a dear childhood mentor to COVID. Shyt still saddens me, for real.
However, as another breh said ITT, the lockdown was the best time of my adult life in terms of my day-to-day living. Shyt, I might even double down and say it was arguably my favorite time period in general.
My wife and I were able to cook every single day, keep up to date on other household chores, and spend more quality time with each other.
WFH was obviously GOATed for numerous reasons: Fukking/smoking/drinking on the clock, no commute, getting a little more sleep in the morning, wearing whatever is comfortable, etc.
If you did have to go out somewhere, traffic was always super light.
Six feet apart in all stores... Most people still give space now, but I hated pre-pandemic when mfs were damn near breathing down your neck with how close they'd stand behind you in line.
Say what you will about the masks (and I know they don't prevent you from getting shyt), but I loved the anonymity of walking around in a mask. I wear large glasses, too, and sometimes I'd wear a hat.
Internet culture also had one last gasp of greatness during that time. The pandemic restored the feeling of old school internet fukkery for about a year, and then fell off even lower afterwards.
