Not big business but Ivey league institutions. I had long dreads but my dreads were done immaculate for my interview. My suit, tie, shirt, shoes on point. If your hair is not done, then a neat pony tail to the back with a lineup. Theoretically, if you claim Christian then your dreads are protected by freedom of religion- the Bible says you should not cut your hair, hence Rastas. Be on point and it won’t matter.

My brother didn't have any issue getting corporate jobs with locs (he's since cut them off due to some hair loss). As long as you present well and have a great resume you'll be fine in most corporate interviews and settings. I work at a firm and am sometimes involved with hiring....to be honest they just want you to sound like you know your shyt, have a good resume, good college record, and seem like a culture fit. And a lot of corporate offices are looking to hire black men, whether they overly say it or not. The diversity pushes are still in effect in many places, they WANT to hire you but they aren't going to bend over backwards to do it if you aren't qualified.

had locs for over 6 years and did plenty of interviews with them

never had an issue, but I was very diligent in making my hair presentable a lot of times. Get a quick line up and tie them up in a neat bun
did u ever consistently leave them out untied while on the job? just bc mine isnt able to lay back fully yet. it actually looked worse trying to tie it back b4 my interview so i just left it alone lmao

lol how long is it?

but not really. i used to keep a bun everyday tbh cause i worked out before work.

when my hair was starter locs I would just use an elastic band to push em back - Redirect Notice

Is that really a big deal now? I had locs 15 years ago had no problems with interviews or workplace. Maybe because I'm in NYC. Or did the Dusty Drill era set us back? :lupe:
