i canceled my youtube premium indv plan in Argentina and tried to sign up for the family plan with my mastercard and it won't let me because the card issuer is not from Argentina. Anyone have a solution for this? Does privacy.com let me choose a card issuer outside of the US?

Not sure about that, but you could also use @MikelArteta solution of getting a gift card in the country of your choice. You can search his posts in this thread to see how to do it.

Cool, I'll probably just replace everything with revanced if it's still around by then

I'm a user of old school Vance and the solution in this thread is way better than Vance. I use YouTube on my phone, tablet, computer and TV. I never see commercials anymore regardless of device. Can't beat that.

Then on top of that I got the family plan and I'm charging folks to use it. :wow:

Has anyone else using this had any issues with the Play Store not letting you install apps specific to your actual country?

I got the family plan via Argentina with a fresh account as the family manager. There's nothing on my own account to suggest I am not in the UK (no foreign payment method or payments profile, it even says United Kingdom in the Play Store's settings), but I can't install any UK-specific apps:

And paid apps are showing up in $ now...

It is happening to someone else who is part of the family plan, so I suspect it is related to this. :jbhmm: We have to use the Aurora store for apps like this now 😅

i've had some issues...they think i'm in turkey when my main account is US, I'm just a family member of my turkey/YT account.

a workround i found is to make a dummy/new account not tied to anything to download stuff...it works for the most part.

there are a couple apps that are still being blocked regardless though...but they aren't critical apps (one of the apps is tubi :russ:)

Okay so it's not just me :ohhh:

I noticed that I did not have this issue on the second Google account I have signed in on the phone, so I could use that one, similar to your workaround, though none of the currently installed apps are linked to that account. Using an alternative store feels simpler lol but I'm not sure why this is happening at all!
