i think im starting to plateau. ive been around the 239-244 range for most of this week. decided to go to the doctor for bloodwork so i can see where my cholesterol is at after my visit a year ago. in he process i got to see a significant drop in my BMI and blood pressure which is great. the doctor was encouraging as well.

2 weeks left and im hoping to get down to 230 but im not sure ill get there with how this week went. either way im pretty happy with how this whole thing has went. great test of will power more than anything else. thanks for the positive thoughts brehs :blessed:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but unless you are eating the right portions of the right things and exercising, all the weight you are losing from this "juice fast" will be right back.

why do people keep saying this as if I don't know? I've already explained my after juice plans and am fully aware that I will gain weight back once i start eating ANY solid foods ANYWAY. I helped get myself on the right track so I can start a healthier lifestyle. repeating over and over that i wont sustain all of the weight i've lost when i knew this going into it, particularly after losing over 30 lbs really doesnt mean shyt right now. :mjpls:

i think the thing you should consider is what exactly a healthier lifestyle is

if eating only organic foods with exact proportions was easy, alot of people would be doing it :mjpls: :whoa:

I have considered that. Balanced meals, more greens in my diet, staying away from the fattening, greasy foods that made up a good portion of my diet before. Being more active. Knowing when to indulge and when not to. My goal isn't to sit back and eat the best things every day for the rest of my life, it's to live healthier and be better than I was. Not sure what else there is to explain. :merchant:

the people who stay in shape all year long arent necessarily eating broccoli and chicken breasts everyday in new innovative ways

you gotta eventually learn what makes something healthy and what doesnt

:dwillhuh:

between this and your last post I really have no idea what type of knowledge you think you're spitting to me right now or what you're trying to open my eyes to. If any of my previous posts led you to believe that I plan on moving forward with the rest of my life on some twigs and berries and lean meat shyt for the rest of my life and that that's the only way i think i'll be able to be healthy, you're uh....way off...but thanks...yes...i'll be sure to learn what makes things healthy the more I delve into the process....appreciate the pep talk brah....:merchant:

@bravaDo how are things going?

I started doing smoothies again. Frozen fruit or veggies is better than using ice.

Can I piggyback off of this? :guilty:

Long story short:
Was always a pretty big dude, wasn't really fat though. Was active, played sports, really good social life, etc. :obama:
In the last two years, my life has slowed down A LOT. Graduated college, settled down with a nice girl. Been working etc. Ain't been as active. Work in the hood (although it's becoming better) and ain't shyt to eat but fast food. No bullshyt, there's a Burger King, KFC, and McDonald's all within a block of each other. I don't think I gotta tell y'all the rest. :snoop:
I had a moment of clarity where I ran up like 5 flights of stairs. Was GASSED. Decided to start working out again. Did the right thing by going to the doctor and getting a physical. BP was type high. Declined medication (fukk that :comeon:) and decided to diet and exercise. Replaced one meal a day with a green salad. Cut bread, soda, juices, candies alla dat. My plate is now 2/4 greens, 1/4 proteins, 1/4 grains and starches. Dropped over 20 lbs in 7 weeks, been power walking/jogging at least 3 days a week.

The only reason I'm posting this here is because I have a homegirl who's into holistics and homeopathic methods and she said she's going to put me on to some natural juices and remedies to help get right. I'm a bit skeptical, but I'm willing to try. I know better than to try to get all my nutrients from juice, but I want to know if there's any merit to juicing, making shakes and such. :ld:
