My 4th grade English teacher noticed over time that I was exhibiting signs of autism and she informed my mom about it, this was back in early 2002 when I was still 9 years old. My 4th grade English teacher, the school counselor, and my personal doctor recommended to my mom that I get tested by a child psychologist for it but all of them strongly recommended to my mom NOT to subscribe me to any medication. I didn’t know it at the time but we were so fortunate that those people were Conscious and were on that Dr. Umar wave before Dr. Umar
They were all Black too btw.S/O to my former Dr. Charles, dude was a Bill Cosby fatherly figure who was most likely a student of the ways of Dr. Llaila Afrika and Dr. Amos Wilson
I’m eternally thankful for him, especially to all the game he dropped that went way over my head back then. I wish he was still practicing.
