My homie is a vegan and he keeps telling me to go vegan for health reasons, skin care, woo woo. But here's the thing, I lift, he doesn't. Buddy is skinny af, I'm a brolic young bull trying to keep my physique. Will going vegan make me lose my size? This nikka said my main protein source would be beans! :mjlol::francis::huhldup::camby::mjcry:

I'm a vegan (have been this whole year so far :manny:)

I'm NOT the kind of person who is here to convince anyone to do anything :whoa: do whatever you feel comfortable with and for your own health try to throw in some fruits and veggies with your "normal food"

but for arguments sake

#1 - Milk/dairy :scust: there is is no real nutritious reason for an adult to eat dairy. Think about what cow milk is (I don't care how you eat it...cheese, yogurt, or milk)... it's milk meant to be fed to make a baby cow grow into a full grown 400 lb cow. Why the fyck do we as humans need those natural hormones

#2 - Meat - although it is VERY delicious...you are eating an animals flesh when there is no need to. We complain so much about how white people have ruined this planet...think about how YOU are doing that to another animal. You are the "white people" to the animals that you eat :manny:

#3 - there is no "need" to eat meat or dairy. You can get all of your protein from plants. In fact, we are cutting down the amazon (the lungs of the planet) to grow soy, to feed cows, to feed humans. If we fed humans the soy and plants, we would be fine. In fact, we already produce as a world enough food for no one on earth to be hungry...but we give it to livestock to eat

#4...I LOVED chicken :blessed: but when you are getting chicken breasts that are damn near as big as what a natural normal chicken would be...you gotta think about what the hell they are putting in the chickens to make them grow.
:jbhmm:

#5 my personal story...I decided to see if I was "dependent" on anything (I don't need to drink, smoke, caffeine, etc.) so I decided to not be controlled by how delicious meat/cheese are. I went from 202 to 172 doing the same workout I had been doing when I couldn't tone up for years. I've been able to start running after work, have more energy, and if you look you can find great Vegan food. Oreos are vegan :ld:

whatever you decide to do, just be happy and do you :salute: vegans and "non"-vegans...just don't try and tell me I'm (insert insult) for what I choose to eat

swallowing sausage though

If you do any sort of fitness and or strength training or you have desires to keep a certain amount of muscle mass on then being a vegan just isn't a good idea.

I personally don't eat milk or dairy outside of cheese every once in awhile.

I eat Meat in a moderation(size of my fist each meal)

However you do not need to completely cut these things out of your diet if you actually like them.

The risk of anemia is just not worth it.
