Selling Annuities and IUL (Indexed universal life)? Working for companies like Northwestern Mutual or a similar company?

From what i've seen they primarily sell financial products, like life insurance or plans for small business owners and clients. Its mainly commission, and you get a percentage of the total amount you sell.

Im a military vet, and have been trading stocks full time on the retail side for the past 2 years. Just wanted to see if anyone was familiar with these positions.

My girl and one of my best friends both did it for TD Bank.

Neither hated it, but both didn't like the pressure and moved on to other things.

Honestly, it's not a super hard line of work. They usually pay for you to get your Series 6 iirc. Once you're licensed you just have to sell the product.

TD didn't pay all that much commission cause they're a retail bank and paid them good salaries, but other places are more commission based.
